VTD Model

Set the select lever to "P" range.
Using a plastic hammer, install the reduction driven gear assembly.
Using a plastic hammer, install the center differential.
Install new self-locking nut and the washer.
Tightening torque:

100 N.m (10.2 kgf-m, 73.8 ft-lb)

After tightening, stake the lock nut securely.
Insert the rear drive shaft assembly. < Ref 4AT-79, INSTALLATION, Rear Drive Shaft.>
Join the transmission case and the extension case, and then install the rear vehicle speed sensor. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Extension Case.>
Install the transmission assembly to the vehicle. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Automatic Transmission Assembly.>
