Inhibitor Switch: Installation

Connect the inhibitor switch harness connector to the inhibitor switch.
Install the inhibitor switch assembly to the transmission case.

Move the range select lever to the neutral position.
Using the ST, tighten the bolts of the inhibitor switch.
ST 499267300 STOPPER PIN

Tightening torque:

3.4 N.m (0.36 kgf-m, 2.6 ft-lb)

Install the select cable to the range select lever.
Install the plate assembly to the transmission.
Tightening torque:

T: 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Install the washer and snap pin to the range select lever.

Install the front and center exhaust pipe.
- Non-turbo model
  < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Exhaust Pipe .>
- Turbo model
  < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Center Exhaust Pipe .>
Lower the vehicle.
Install the inhibitor switch connector to the stay.
Connect the inhibitor switch connector.

Install the air intake chamber. (Non-turbo model) < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Air Intake Chamber .>
Install the intercooler. (Turbo model)
< Ref. to INSTALLATION , Intercooler .>
Inspect the inhibitor switch. < Ref. to INSPECTION , Inhibitor Switch.>
