Fuel Filler Pipe: Removal

WARNING: Place "NO OPEN FLAMES" signs near the working area.

CAUTION: Be careful not to spill fuel.

Set the vehicle on a lift.
Release the fuel pressure. <Ref. to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSURE , PROCEDURE, FUEL .>
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Open the fuel filler flap lid, and remove the fuel filler cap.
Remove the screws which secure gasket.

Remove the rear wheel RH.
Lift up the vehicle.
Drain the fuel tank. <Ref. to DRAINING FUEL , PROCEDURE, FUEL .>
Remove the fuel filler pipe protector.

Disconnect the evaporation hose from the clip of fuel filler pipe.

Disconnect the air vent hose from the fuel filler pipe.

Remove the bolts which hold fuel filler pipe bracket on the body.

Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel filler hose (A) from the fuel filler pipe.
Loosen the clip and separate the evaporation hose (B).

Remove the fuel filler pipe to the underside of the vehicle.
Remove the air vent pipe together with the clips from the body.
