How To Use SUBARU Select Monitor
- Prepare the Subaru Select Monitor kit. < Ref. to PREPARATION TOOL . >
- Connect the diagnosis cable to Subaru Select Monitor.
- Insert the cartridge into Subaru Select Monitor. < Ref. to PREPARATION TOOL . >
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor to data link connector.
- Data link connector located in the lower portion of instrument panel (on driver's side).
- Connect the diagnosis cable to data link connector.
CAUTION: Do not connect scan tools except for Subaru Select Monitor and OBD-II general scan tool. - Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF) and Subaru Select Monitor switch to ON.
- Using the Subaru Select Monitor, call up DTC and various data, then record them.

- READ CURRENT DATA FOR ENGINE (NORMAL MODE)
- On << Main Menu >> display screen, select the {Each System Check} and press the [YES] key.
- On << System Selection Menu >> display screen, select the {Engine Control System} and press the [YES] key.
- Press the [YES] key after the information of engine type is displayed.
- On <<Engine Diagnosis >> display screen, select the {Current Data Display & Save} and press the [YES] key.
- On << Data Display Menu >> display screen, select the {Data Display} and press the [YES] key.
- Using the scroll key, move the display screen up or down until the desired data is shown.

- On << Main Menu >> display screen, select the {Each System Check} and press the [YES] key.
- On << System Selection Menu >> display screen, select the {Engine Control System} and press the [YES] key.
- Press the [YES] key after the information of engine type is displayed.
- On <<Engine Diagnosis >> display screen, select the {OBD System} and press the [YES] key.
- On << OBD Menu >> display screen, select the {Current Data Display & Save} and press the [YES] key.
- On << Data Display Menu >> display screen, select the {Data Display} and press the [YES] key.
- Using the scroll key, move the display screen up or down until the desired data is shown.

- On << Main Menu >> display screen, select the {Each System Check} and press the [YES] key.
- On << System Selection Menu >> display screen, select the {Engine Control System} and press the [YES] key.
- Press the [YES] key after the information of engine type is displayed.
- On <<Engine Diagnosis >> display screen, select the {OBD System} and press the [YES] key.
- On << OBD Menu >> display screen, select the {Freeze Frame Data} and press the [YES] key.

- On <<Engine Diagnosis >> display screen, select the {Current Data Display & Save} and press the [YES] key.
- On << Data Display Menu >> display screen, select the {Data & LED Display} and press the [YES] key.
- Using the scroll key, move the display screen up or down until the desired data is shown.

- On << Transmission Diagnosis >> display screen, select the {Current Data Display & Save} and press the [YES] key.
- On << Data Display Menu >> display screen, select the {Data Display} and press the [YES] key.
- Using the scroll key, move the display screen up or down until the desired data is shown.
