One-way Clutch: Removal
- Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Automatic Transmission Assembly.>
- Extract the torque converter clutch assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Torque Converter Clutch Assembly.>
- Remove the input shaft.
- Disconnect the air breather hose. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Breather Hose.>
- Lift-up lever behind the transmission harness connector and disconnect it from stay.
- Disconnect inhibitor switch connector from stay.
- Remove the oil charger pipe. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Oil Charger Pipe.>
- Remove the oil cooler inlet and outlet pipes.

- Separation of torque converter clutch case and transmission case. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Torque Converter Clutch Case.>
- Separate transmission case and extension case sections. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Extension Case.>
- Remove the reduction driven gear.

- Remove the reduction drive gear. (MPT model)

- Remove the center differential carrier. (VTD model) < Ref. to REMOVAL , Center Differential Carrier.>
- Remove control valve assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Control Valve Body.>
- Remove the oil pump housing. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Oil Pump.>
- Take out the high clutch and reverse clutch assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , High Clutch and Reverse Clutch.>
- Take out the thrust needle bearing, planetary gear assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Planetary Gear and Low Clutch.>
- Take out 2-4 brake return spring, piston and piston retainer. < Ref. to REMOVAL , 2-4 Brake.>
- Pull out the leaf spring without folding.
- Remove snap ring.
- Take out retaining plate, drive plate, driven plate and dish plate.
- Turn the transmission case upside down, and then take out the socket bolts while holding the one-way clutch inner race with hand.
