Belt Tension

NOTE: Models equipped with 6-cylinder engines have an automatic belt tensioner with no adjustment required.

Measure deflection with 22 lbs. (10 kg) of force applied between generator and crankshaft pulley belt run. See Fig 1. If deflection is not within specification, adjust belt. See BELT DEFLECTION  table.
