Drive Pinion Shaft: Installation
- Assemble the drive pinion assembly to the oil pump housing. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Oil Pump.
- Install oil pump housing to transmission case. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Oil Pump.
- Combine the torque converter case with the transmission case. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Torque Converter Clutch Case.
- Install the reduction driven gear. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Reduction Driven Gear.
- Combine the extension case with the transmission case, and install vehicle speed sensor 1 (rear). Refer to
INSTALLATION , Extension Case.
- Insert inhibitor switch and transmission connector into stay.
- Install air breather hose. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Air Breather Hose.
- Install the oil cooler inlet and outlet pipes. Refer to
INSTALLATION , ATF Cooler Pipe and Hose.
- Install the oil charger pipe with O-ring.
- Insert the input shaft while turning lightly by hand. At this time, not to damage the bushing.
- Normal protrusion A:
50 - 55 mm (1.97 - 2.17 in)

- Install the torque converter clutch assembly. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Torque Converter Clutch Assembly.
- Install the transmission assembly to vehicle. Refer to
INSTALLATION , Automatic Transmission Assembly.
