Rear Gate Latch Assembly: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the rear gate lower trim. Refer to REMOVAL , Rear Gate Trim.
  3. Disconnect rod (latch to link) from latch (A).
  4. Disconnect rod (latch to outer handle) from outer handle (B).
  5. Remove bolts from latch (A).

  6. Disconnect rear gate switch connector from latch (A) and then detach the latch.
