Clearing Codes

  1. After malfunction has been corrected, check for diagnostic codes again. See RETRIEVING CODES  . If there are no diagnostic codes in memory, leave diagnostic terminal "A" connected to diagnosis connector terminal No. 2. See Figure .
  2. While warning light is flashing, connect another diagnostic terminal to diagnosis connector terminal No. 3. Once memory is erased, AIR BAG warning light will return to a normal on and off flash rate of 0.6 seconds duration. Disconnect both diagnostic terminals from diagnostic connector and return to original position. If normal flash rate does not return, system is not repaired completely.
