Diagnostic Procedure

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Perform AIR BAG warning light check. See AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT CHECK  . If AIR BAG warning light is functioning properly, retrieve diagnostic codes. See RETRIEVING CODES  . Diagnose and repair appropriate diagnostic codes. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS  . When repair is completed, clear diagnostic codes. See CLEARING CODES  .
  2. If AIR BAG warning light is malfunctioning, diagnose and repair appropriate AIR BAG warning light malfunction. Go to DIAGNOSTIC TESTS  .
