Torque Converter Clutch Case: Installation

- Check the appearance of each component and clean.
- Force-fit the oil seal to the torque converter clutch case with ST.
- ST 398437700 DRIFT
- Install the differential assembly to the case.

- Install the left and right side retainers. < Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , Front Differentials.>
- Install the new seal pipe to the torque converter clutch case.
- Install the rubber seal to the torque converter clutch case.
- Apply proper amount of liquid gasket to the entire torque converter clutch case mating surface.
Liquid gasket: THREE BOND 1215 (Part No. 004403007)
- Install the torque converter clutch case assembly without damaging bush and oil seal and secure with six bolts and four nuts.
- Tightening torque: 41 N.m (4.2 kgf-m, 30.4 ft-lb)
- Install the pitching stopper bracket and transmission ground cable.
- Tightening torque: 41 N.m (4.2 kgf-m, 30.4 ft-lb)
- Insert inhibitor switch and transmission connector into stay.
- Install air breather hose. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Air Breather Hose.>
- Install the oil cooler pipes. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , ATF Cooler Pipe and Hose.>
- Install the oil charger pipe with O-ring. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Oil Charger Pipe.>
- Insert the input shaft while turning lightly by hand. At this time, not to damage the bushing.
- Normal protrusion A: 50-55 mm (1.97-217 in)
- Install the torque converter clutch assembly.
