DTC P1518: Starter Switch Circuit Low Input

Perform basic diagnostic procedure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . Place inhibitor switch in Park and attempt to start engine, then place inhibitor switch in Neutral position and attempt to start engine again. If starter operates in both inhibitor switch positions, locate and repair short to ground or open circuit in wiring and check for poor terminal contact in connectors between ECM and starter. If starter does not operate in both inhibitor switch positions, check starter circuit. Clear memory and perform verification procedure.
