Room Light Diagnostic Test
- Remove and visually inspect fuse No. 2 located in main fuse box. If fuse No. 2 is blown, replace fuse. If fuse No. 2 is not blown, go to next step.
- Remove and visually inspect room light bulb. If bulb is blown, replace bulb. If bulb is not blown, go to next step.
- Remove room light. Measure resistance between room light switch terminals at middle position. See Fig 1
. If resistance is less than one ohm, repair or replace room light. If resistance is greater than one ohm, go to next step.
- Disconnect connector from room light. Open any door. Measure voltage between room light connector terminal No. 2 and ground. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair wiring harness between room light and battery.
- Disconnect connector from keyless entry control module. Measure resistance between room light connector terminal No. 1 and keyless entry control module connector terminal No. 4. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace keyless entry control module. See KEYLESS ENTRY CONTROL MODULE
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is greater than 10 ohms, repair wiring harness between room light and keyless entry control module.
