Test 3: Checking Combination Meter Circuit
- Disconnect security control module connector and combination meter connector. Measure resistance between security control module connector terminal No. 5 and combination meter connector terminal No. 11. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between control module and combination meter.
- Disconnect driver door lock switch connector. Measure resistance between door lock connector terminal and combination meter connector terminal No. 12. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between door lock connector and combination meter.
- Measure resistance between driver door lock switch connector and ground. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, repair wiring between door lock connector and ground.
- Measure resistance between combination meter connector terminals No. 11 and 12. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace security control module. See SECURITY CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, replace combination meter.
