Inhibitor Switch

Turn ignition and cruise control main switch on. Set parking brake. Disconnect inhibitor switch harness connector. Check resistance between terminals No. 7 and 12 at inhibitor switch. See Fig 1 . With gearshift lever in Park and Neutral, resistance should be 10 ohms or less. With gearshift lever in any other position, resistance should be more than 10 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace inhibitor switch. If resistance is as specified, inhibitor switch is okay.
