DTC P1133: Front Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Heater Circuit High Input
- Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter connected to ground, backprobe ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 23. See Figure. If voltage is more than 8 volts, go to step 3. If voltage is 8 volts or less, go to next step.
- Measure voltage between ground and ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 22. If voltage is more than 8 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 8 volts or less, measure voltage between ground and ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 22 while wiggling harness and ECM connector. If voltage does not change more than 8 volts while wiggling harness and connector, go to step 4. If voltage change is more than 8 volts, repair short to voltage in harness between ECM and front O2S connectors. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
- Turn ignition off. Repair short to voltage in harness between ECM and front O2S connectors. Install scan tool. Turn ignition on. Observe front O2S heater value. If value is more than 2.3 amps, replace ECM. If value is 2.3 amps or less, check for poor connections.
- Measure voltage between ground and ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 22 while wiggling harness and ECM connector. If voltage does not change more than 8 volts while wiggling harness and connector, circuit is okay at this time. If voltage change is more than 8 volts, repair short to voltage in harness between ECM and front O2S connectors.
