DTC P1116: Engine Torque Control Cut Signal Circuit Low Input (A/T)
- Start and warm engine. Turn ignition off, then on. Using voltmeter connected to ground, backprobe ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 31. See Figure. If voltage is more than 3 volts, repair poor contact in ECM connector. If voltage is 3 volts or less, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect transaxle control module (TCM) connector and ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector). Measure resistance between ground and ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 31. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, repair short to ground in wiring between ECM and TCM connectors. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If resistance is 10 ohms or more, go to next step.
- Measure resistance between ECM connector B134 (35-pin connector) terminal No. 31 and TCM connector terminal No. 2. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is less than one ohm, repair poor contact in ECM or TCM connector. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair open in wiring between ECM and TCM connectors.
