Belt Tension

Measure belt deflection at longest belt run. Adjust belt as necessary. See BELT ADJUSTMENT  table. Tighten adjuster lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

BELT ADJUSTMENT

Application (1) Deflection - In. (mm)
New Belt .28-.35 (7-9)
Used Belt .35-.43 (9-11)
(1) Measure deflection with 22 lbs. (10 kg) of force applied on longest belt run.
