Sub-Switch Test

  1. Disconnect sub-switch harness connector. Check voltage between ground and sub-switch harness connector terminal No. 1 (Red/Green wire). See Fig 1 . Voltage should be 10-13 volts.
  2. Disconnect control unit harness connector. Check for short between sub-switch harness connector and control unit harness connector. Check resistance between ground and sub-switch harness connector terminal No. 3 (Red/White wire). Check resistance between ground and sub-switch harness connector terminal No. 2 (Light Green/Blue wire). Resistance should be one megohm or greater at both wires.
  3. Check continuity between the sub-switch terminals. See Fig 2 . Resistance between terminals No. 1 and 2 (SET/COAST) and terminals No. 1 and 3 (RESUME/ACCEL) should be 10 ohms or less with switch on, and one megohm or greater with switch off.
