DTC P1143 (PS_RLOW): Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem (Low Input)
- Turn ignition to off. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition and scan tool on. Start engine. Observe atmospheric absolute pressure signal. If sensor value is more than 9.5 in. Hg, go to next step. If sensor value is less than 9.5 in. Hg, check vacuum hoses between pressure sensor, pressure sources switching valve, intake manifold and Canister Purge Control (CPC) solenoid valve. Repair as necessary. If vacuum hoses check okay, go to step 3).
- Check actual atmospheric pressure and compare to scan tool reading. If readings differ by more than 3.0 in. Hg, replace pressure sensor. If readings are within 3.0 in. Hg, circuit is normal. Check connectors for poor contact.
- Turn ignition off. Connect test mode connector under left side of dash. Turn ignition on. If pressure sources switching solenoid valve clicks on and off, replace pressure sensor. Replace pressure sources switching solenoid valve if it does not click on and off every 1.5 seconds.
