DTC P0506 (ISC_RLOW): Idle Control System Rpm Lower Than Expected

  1. Connect Scan tool. Retrieve DTC(s). If DTC P0505 exists, diagnose DTC P0505 only. If DTC P0506 is only code set, go to next step.
  2. Start and allow engine to idle. If there is clogging in by-pass line between by-pass hose and intake duct, repair by-pass line. If clogging is not present, replace idle air control (IAC) valve.
