Sub-Switch System

  1. Disconnect sub-switch harness connector. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Red/Green wire) at sub-switch harness connector. SeeFig 1 . Voltage should be 10-13 volts.
  2. Disconnect control unit harness connector. Check for short between sub-switch harness connector and control unit harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 2 (Red/White wire) at sub-switch harness connector. Also measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 3 (Light Green/Blue wire) at sub-switch harness connector. Resistance should be one megohm or greater at both wires.
  3. Check continuity at sub-switch terminals. SeeFig 2 . Resistance between terminals No. 1 and 2 (SET/COAST) and terminals No. 1 and 3 (RESUME/ACCEL) should be 10 ohms or less with switch on and one megohm or greater with switch off.
