Oil Pump Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Coat "O" ring and friction ring with lubricant, attach to cam ring and install into oil pump housing. Install vane ring, rotor, vanes and vane ring. Install return spring and retainer between housing and cam ring. Install control piston. Fit seal in piston groove, with Red seals facing top side.
  2. Set rotor in center of housing bore. Apply ATF to components. Align 2 pivot pins with pivot holes of cover and install cover. Tighten bolts to 17-20 ft. lbs. (2.4-2.9 N.m). Install seal rings and oil seal retainer.
