Manual Transmission
- If voltage does not exist in any of the following circuit tests, check wiring for opens or shorts, or replace faulty component.
- Turn ignition switch to START position. Check voltage at ignition switch "S" terminal (Black/Yellow wire). If battery voltage exists, check voltage at both Black/Yellow wire terminals of starter interlock relay.
- Interlock relay has a Blue, 4-terminal connector and is located below and to far left of EFC/PFI control unit. EFC/PFI control unit is located behind left side of instrument panel.
- Clutch switch, located at top of clutch pedal arm, grounds interlock relay Black/Blue wire, energizing interlock relay. Press and hold clutch pedal to floor. Check voltage at interlock relay Black/White wire terminal.
- If battery voltage exists, check voltage at starter solenoid "S" terminal (Black/White wire). If battery voltage exists at starter solenoid, start circuit is good. Problem is with starter.
