Removal & Installation
Fuel pump is located in fuel tank. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove rear seat and floor mat. Remove fuel pump access panel located on right side below seat cross brace. Disconnect fuel supply and return hoses from fuel pump. Remove fuel pump nuts and fuel pump. To install, reverse procedure. Tighten nuts in sequence to specifications. See Fig 1 . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
NOTE:
If vehicle does not have a fuel pump access panel, fuel tank must be removed to replace fuel tank.
