Component Testing: Sub-Switch

  1. Separate connector from sub-switch. Measured voltage between connector terminal No. 1 and ground should be 10-13 volts. See Fig 1 .

  2. Check for harness short circuit between sub-switch and cruise control module. Resistance between terminal No. 2 and ground and terminal No. 3 and ground should be no less than 1 megohm. See Fig 2 .

  3. Check inner switch of sub-switch and check continuity at switch side connector. Resistance between terminals No. 1 and 2 (SET/COAST) and terminals No. 1 and 3 (RESUME/ACCEL) should be no more than 10 ohms with switch ON and no less than 1 megohm with switch OFF. See Fig 2 .
