Line Pressure Test: Adjustment

  1. Drain ATF and remove oil pan and oil strainer. Loosen lock nut on pressure regulator valve guide and turn bolt in or out to adjust line pressure as required. See Figure. Loosening bolt one complete rotation increases line pressure about 14 psi (98 kPa). Tightening bolt one complete rotation decreases line pressure by 14 psi (98 kPa).
  2. Install oil strainer and oil pan. Fill with ATF. Recheck line pressure. If pressure is as specified, remove line pressure gauge and adapter. Install new outlet plug.
