Speedometer Cover: Reassembly

  1. Install snap ring onto shaft from end opposite of oil seal frictional surface. Install washer onto shaft and install shaft into cover. Install speedometer driven gear onto shaft and secure using outer snap ring.
  2. Place speedometer cover in vise. Using Speedometer Oil Seal Press (499827000), install oil seal into cover. Clean mating surfaces and install cover with gasket to clutch housing. Tighten bolts to 53-62 INCH lbs. (6-7 N.m).
