Steering Gear - Power: Description

NOTE: For information on XT-6 electronic controlled power steering pump, see STEERING SYSTEM - ELECTRONIC POWER article in this section.

The system consists of a fluid reservoir, power steering pump, pressure and return fluid lines, control valve and rack and pinion assembly. The power steering pump applies fluid pressure to the control valve which assists in the turning of the wheels.
