SERVICE INFORMATION
Should you encounter a 1987 1/2 XT, 1988 4DR, Station Wagon or 3DR-coupe vehicle equipped with turbocharging which exhibits a trouble code 44: duty solenoid (waste gate control), refer to the trouble-shooting chart in Fig 1 as well as the applicable Service Information.
NOTE:
Please be aware that certain driving characteristics may generate a trouble code 44. However this does not always indicate a system failure. If the waste gate control system components test good, you should not attempt any repairs.
