Bench Testing: Rotor

Check resistance between slip rings. A resistance should be 3.0-3.5 ohms. If there is no continuity, replace rotor. Check continuity between the slip ring and rotor core/shaft. If there is continuity, rotor coil or slip ring is grounded. Replace rotor.
