Alternator Output Test
- Connect test equipment to alternator. See Figure. Set variable resistor to minimum resistance position. Close switches "SW1" and "SW2".
- Keep voltage constant by adjusting variable resistor while increasing alternator RPM. Measure alternator output at specified RPM. See ALTERNATOR OUTPUT SPECIFICATIONS table in this article.
