Self-Diagnosis System: Notes
Self-diagnosis system detects and indicates a fault in various inputs and outputs of the complex electronic control. The warning light (ECS light) on the instrument panel indicates occurrence of a fault or trouble. Light emitting diode (LED) in the control unit also indicates a trouble code. See Fig 1 . The fail-safe function ensures minimal driveability when a sensor failure occurs.
