Fuel Injector

  1. Using a stethoscope or long screwdriver, ensure that there is an operating noise (clicking noise) from injector. If operating noise cannot be heard, check resistance of injector on control side.
  2. Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Disconnect connector from control unit. Use an ohmmeter to measure resistance between terminal No. 43 (RW) and terminal No. 48 (RB) of harness connector. A reading of .5-2.0 ohms should be present.
  3. If resistance is not within specifications. Disconnect connector from injector. Measure resistance between terminals of connector on injector side. Resistance should be .5-2.0 ohms. If resistance is not within specifications replace injector.
