Federal 4WD Models

  1. Remove hoses from bowl vent vacuum valve and blow air into valve's carburetor port. Check that air flow is blocked.
  2. Using a vacuum pump, apply 7.9-19.7 in. Hg to valve's port to thermo vacuum valve. Blow air into valve through port to carburetor and check that air flows freely through valve. Replace valve if it does not operate as outlined.
