Dashpot System
- Check vacuum hose for blockage or leaks. Disconnect vacuum hose from dashpot. Connect hand-held vacuum pump/gauge to hose to diaphragm. Apply vacuum and check that vacuum slowly decreases.
- If vacuum holds steady or decreases rapidly, replace dashpot check valve and retest. Connect vacuum pump/gauge directly to diaphragm fitting. Apply vacuum. Ensure that rod pulls in and vacuum holds. If not, replace diaphragm and retest.
