Left Front Wheel Sensor Insulator

  1. Place wheel sensor selector switch to "4" position. Turn wheel sensor switch to "Front L". If wheel sensor LED light illuminates, go to next test. If LED light does not illuminate, using a DVOM, check resistance between ECU harness connector pins No. 4 and 5 to ground at each Red wire.
  2. If resistance is greater than 100,000 ohms, insulation is okay. If resistance is less than 100,000 ohms at either wire, unplug left front wheel sensor connector. Check resistance between each wheel sensor terminal and ground.
  3. If resistance at either terminal is less than 100,000 ohms, replace wheel sensor. If resistance at both terminals was greater than 100,000 ohms, check for damaged wiring between wheel sensor and ECU.
