TRANSMISSION 700.4 in MODEL 453.0/3/4
View of dual clutch transmission control unit
Location
The dual clutch transmission control unit is integrated in the dual clutch transmission.
Task
General
With its own independent diagnosis system the dual clutch transmission control unit determines the current operating condition of the vehicle and controls all gear change sequences taking into account shift comfort and the driving situation.
Flash programming
The transmission control in the dual clutch transmission control unit is flashable, i.e. the complete software of the control unit can be exchanged (replaced) using XENTRY Diagnostics. The software required for control unit programming can be found on the diagnostic system software DVD.
CAN bus
The DKG control unit is connected to the CAN connection of the vehicle via the drive train CAN (CAN C) and exchanges data with other control units.
Input and output signals
The following input signals are evaluated by the DKG control unit and the corresponding output signals output:
- Direct input signals
- Direct output signals
- CAN input signals
- CAN output signals
