Manual Transmission (MT), Function - GF26.10-P-0002KJE
MODEL 453.091/391/491 with ENGINE 780
Manual transmission, general
The manual transmission (1) is a single stage transmission with integrated differential. The gear ratio is i = 9.341.
When the selector lever is shifted to drive range "P", the park pawl is operated via the park pawl shift cable (2). The status of the park pawl is registered by the drive program recognition sensor (B56/1). The signals of the drive program recognition sensor are read in by the electric drive control unit (N127).
The shifting of the selector lever to drive range "R" is registered by the electronic selector lever module control unit and additionally via the drive program recognition sensor. The change in the direction of travel is achieved by reversing the rotation direction of the electric vehicle drive motor (M5).
The shifting of the selector lever to the neutral position "N" is likewise registered by the electronic selector lever module control unit and via the drive program recognition sensor.
In contrast to conventional transmissions, it is not possible to separate the connection between the electric vehicle drive motor and the transmission. If the accelerator pedal is depressed in drive range "N", the electric vehicle drive motor is not energized. No forces act on the rotor of the electric motor. The vehicle can therefore be pushed or towed away.
