| 3 | Remove screws/bolts (1) at filler neck (2) | ||
| 4 | Unscrew nut (3) and remove ground line (4) | ||

| 7 | Unlock vent line (5) on activated charcoal canister (6) and detach | ||
| 8 | Remove electrical connection (7) from undercarriage and separate | ||
| 9 | Unclip fuel line (8) on undercarriage | ||
| 10 | Disconnect fuel line (8) from coupling connection (9) | ||

Support fuel tank (10) with a telescopic lifter and removal fixture 000 588 11 62 00 Major assembly mount |

| 13 | Unclip electrical line (12) from fuel tank (10). | ||
| 14 | Lower fuel tank (10) while leading the filler neck (2) out of the wheel well at the right rear | ||
| 15 | Remove fuel tank (10) | ||
| 16 | Install in the reverse order | ||

| 17 | Check fuel tank (10) and connections for leaktightness |
