Remove/Install Liftgate - AR72.20-P-1020SRA

	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Remove/install upper liftgate
1	Remove rear spoiler		AR72.20-P-4000SRA
2	Unscrew screws (4) and remove cover (3)
3	Disconnect electrical connectors from rear window heater (X19)
4	Disconnect electrical connections (8, 9)
5	Detach grommet (6)
6	Unclip electrical wiring harness and guide out of upper liftgate (1)
7	Guide washer fluid hose (7) out of upper liftgate (1)
8	Unhook gas-filled strut on upper liftgate (1)		AR72.20-P-2832SR
9	Unscrew nuts (5) and remove upper liftgate (1) and lay down on suitable base	Helper required. : Repaint visible surfaces on nuts (5) on left and right if damaged. Screw/bolt/nut, liftgate hinge to liftgate	*BA72.20-P-1002-03SR
10	Install in the reverse order
	Check
11	Check gap dimensions on upper liftgate (1) all the way around, correct if necessary.		AR72.20-P-0002SRA
	Remove/install lower liftgate
12	Remove outer paneling from liftgate		AR72.20-P-1016SRA
13	Unscrew bolts (14) and lay door check straps (11) on left and right down to side
14	Disconnect electrical connector (12), loosen grommet (13) and guide subharness out of lower liftgate (2)
15	Mark position of left and right liftgate hinge (15)
16	Unscrew nuts (16) on left and right liftgate hinge (15), remove liftgate (2) and lay down on suitable subsurface	Helper required. Repaint visible surfaces on nuts (16) and liftgate hinge (15) on left and right if damaged. Screw/bolt/nut, liftgate hinge to rear center section	*BA72.20-P-1005-03SR
17	Install in the reverse order
	Check
18	Check gap dimensions on lower liftgate (2) all the way around, correct if necessary.		AR72.20-P-0002SRA
