Mirror Lens Adjustment Left/Right Outside Mirror, Function - GF88.79-P-2008KJ
MODEL 453.0/3/4
with CODE V21 (Electrically adjustable and heated outside mirrors (FFO))
Function requirements, general
- Circuit 30g ON (comfort status active) or circuit 15 ON
The comfort status (circuit 30g ON) is activated after the driver door is opened or after the ignition is switched off (circuit 15 OFF) for approx. 150 s. The status of the driver door is read in by the center SAM control unit (N10/10) via the driver door central locking microswitch (M14/6s1). The center SAM control unit receives circuit status of circuit 15 ON from ignition lock (S2) by the vehicle interior fuse and relay module (F2) via a direct line.
Mirror tens adjustment left/right outside mirror, general
The mirror glasses of the left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) can be adjusted electrically.
Mirror lens adjustment left/right outside mirror, function
The center SAM control unit connects the power supply (circuit 30g) via an internal relay and the fuse 19 (F2f19) in the vehicle interior fuse and relay module to the outside mirror adjustment switch (S50) as soon as the driver door is opened or the ignition switched on. Turning the outside mirror adjustment switch to position "L" or "R" sets the outside mirror to be adjusted and the outside mirror adjustment switch connects power to the selected outside mirror internally over the electrical contacts.
Moving the outside mirror adjustment switch upward or downward actuates the left horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/1m1) or right horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/2m1) directly by the outside mirror adjustment switch and the mirror glass is adjusted horizontally. The horizontal inclination adjustment motor is actuated bi-directionally depending on whether the mirror glass adjustment is up or down. This means that the corresponding horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor is actuated in the right or left rotation direction. For this purpose the horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor is actuated electrically upward opposite to the adjustment direction downward. The mirror can be adjusted in the opposite direction by reversing the direction of the current with the outside mirror adjustment switch.
Moving the outside mirror adjustment switch toward the front or rear actuates the left horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/1 m2) or right horizontal inclination adjustment actuator motor (M21/2m2) directly by the outside mirror adjustment switch and the mirror glass is adjusted horizontally. Actuation is also performed bidirectional.
It is not possible to adjust the outside mirrors when the outside mirror adjustment switch is set to "N".
