Location 

The charging process monitoring control unit (N83/2) is integrated in the high-voltage control unit box (N83).

Task 

The charging process monitoring control unit is only used in combination with the 7 kW charger. During charging, the control unit actuates the indicator LED of the charger feed socket (X58/23) and communicates with the charging station via the CP contact. The control unit also monitors the interlock signal from the connected high-voltage components and from the fuse cover in the high-voltage control unit box.

Input factors are read in by means of the following connections:

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Output of signals and actuation of components 

Initial parameter are output over the following connections:

IMPORTANT The electric drive control unit (N127) is the central interface (gateway) for exchanging function-relevant data of the control units that are connected to the various CAN bus systems.

Structure 

The charging process monitoring control unit consists of a plastic housing with three plug connectors and an internal control unit.

Voltage supply 

The charging process monitoring control unit is supplied with power by "circuit 30" and, with the ignition ON, by "circuit 15".
