Location 

The EDCU (N127) is located at the rear right on the B-pillar.

Task 

The EDCU fulfills the following tasks:

Reading in sensors and signals 

Input factors are read in over the following connections:

Control module functions 

The EDCU includes the followings functions:

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Output of signals and actuation of components 

Initial parameter are output over the following connections:

Structure 

The EDCU consists of one plastic housing with three plug couplings and internal control unit.

Voltage supply 

With ignition ON, the EDCU is supplied with voltage from "circuit 15 an fused".
