1	Switch on smart Premium radio and read out map status in smart Premium radio	The activation code must be present before updating the map data.

Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. 2	Connect charger to battery
	Notes on battery	Use the charger to ensure that an adequate power supply (min. 12.5 V) is provided for the battery.	AH54.10-P-0001-01A
3	Disconnect all external data media at smart Premium radio
4	Switch on smart Premium radio
5	Fold open display of smart Premium radio and insert Secure Digital (SD) card with current map data, then close display again
6	Read out data of SD card and perform update	To do so, press and hold the "OFF" button 10 to 12 s until the illumination of the smart Premium radio and the button illumination go out. Then switch smart Premium radio back on again. The update starts automatically.
7	Insert activation code for map material
