Installation [06/2015 - ]: Procedure
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET
- INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY
- w/ Stud Bolt:
- Install the throttle body assembly to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Install the throttle body assembly to the intake manifold with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
- w/o Stud Bolt:
- Install the throttle body assembly to the intake manifold with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:If the throttle body assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Install the throttle body assembly to the intake manifold with the 4 bolts.
- Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose to the throttle body assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
- Connect the throttle body assembly connector.
- w/ Stud Bolt:
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
- Connect the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose to the throttle body assembly.
- Engage the 2 clamps to install the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose.
- Tighten the hose clamp.
Torque: 2.0 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf)
- Check that the condition of the hose clamp is as specified as shown in the illustration.
*a Hose Clamp *b Air Cleaner Hose *c Top *d Front - Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
- Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector and engage the 2 wire harness clamps.
- INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 82
- ADD ENGINE COOLANT
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION NOTE:
- Be sure to perform this procedure after removing and reinstalling the throttle body assembly or any throttle body assembly components.
- Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle body assembly or any throttle body assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body assembly is cleaned.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and clear the DTCs.

- Turn the ignition switch to ON without operating the accelerator pedal.
- Perform the "Inspection After Repair".
Refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2015 - ]
- Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range with the A/C switch off.
Standard Idle Speed
600 to 700 rpm
NOTE:- Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
- Make sure that the shift lever is in P or N (for CVT).
- Make sure that the shift lever is in neutral (for Manual Transaxle).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position.
Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List
Tester Display Throttle Sensor Position - Fully depress the accelerator pedal and check that the value is 60% or higher.
- Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
