Installation [07/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. EVAPORATIVE HOSE INSTALLATION NOTE 
    1. Install the evaporative hose as shown in the figure.

      *a Intake Manifold
      *b Evaporative hose must be bottomed or 1 mm (0.04 in.) MAX. from bottom.
      *c Clip Must be Installed on Paint Mark
      *d Install Hose to Locate Center of Paint Mark in This Area
      *e Allowable Angle for Installed Hose Clip Tab Center
      *f 20°
      *g 90°
      *h Top
  2. VACUUM HOSE INSTALLATION NOTE 
    1. Install the vacuum hose as shown in the figure.

      *a Vacuum Pump Side *b Clip Part
      *c Intake Manifold Side *d Insert Hose Until It Comes into Contact With Vacuum Pump
      *e After Insertion With Hose, Lock of Clip Removed *f Hose Clip
      *g Marking Located in This Area *h Top
      *i 15° *j Insert Clip into Bracket Until Locked
      *k Insert Hose Until It Comes into Contact With Intake Manifold *l Marking Located This Area
      *m Vehicle Front - -
  3. AIR CLEANER CASE INSTALLATION NOTE 
    1. Install the air cleaner case as shown in the figure.

      *a Sec. A-A *b Sec. B-B
      *c Air Cleaner Case *d Rubber Mount
      *e Battery Tray *f Frame
  4. AIR CLEANER COVER INSTALLATION NOTE 
    1. Install the air cleaner cover as shown in the figure.

      *a Air Cleaner Case
      *b Air Cleaner Cover
      *c Air Cleaner Element Lip
      *d Air Cleaner Element
      *e 1: Insert the lip of the air cleaner element without turning it.
      *f 2: Install the air cleaner cover with rotating it.
    2. Secure the air cleaner cover and the air cleaner case with the clip.

      *a Air Cleaner Cover
      *b Clip
      *c Lip
      *d Air Cleaner Case
      *e Air Cleaner Element
      *f Install the clip and be careful not to turn the lip and overlap the air cleaner case locator and the air cleaner cover.
      *g Location of the Air Cleaner Case Locator
      *h Align the Air Cleaner Cover With the Air Cleaner Case
  5. AIR HOSE INSTALLATION NOTE 
    1. Install the air hose as shown in the figure.

      Throttle body side:

      *a Throttle Body *b Air Hose
      *c Convex of Throttle Body *d Air Hose Recess
      *e Hose Clamp Installed into Concave *f Hose Clamp Installed Without Contacting Location Stopper of Air Hose
      *g Vehicle Front - -

      Air cleaner side:

      *a Air Hose *b Head of Bolts Pointed to Ward Vehicle Front
      *c Air Hose Recess *d Air Cleaner Cover
      *e Convex of Air Cleaner Cover *f Hose Clamp Installed into Concave
      *g Hose Clamp Installed Without Contacting Location Stopper of Air Hose *h Vehicle Front
  6. VENTILATION HOSE INSTALLATION NOTE 
    1. Install the ventilation hose as shown in the figure.

      Cylinder head cover side:

      *a Ventilation Hose
      *b Ventilation Hose Mark
      *c Ventilation Hose Bottomed
      *d Cylinder Head Cover
      *e Cylinder Head Cover Mark

      *a Air Hose
      *b Ventilation Hose
      *c Bottomed
  7. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Install the intake manifold.

      Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)

      *1 Ventilation Hose *2 Air Hose
      *3 Air Cleaner Cover *4 Air Cleaner Element
      *5 Resonator *6 Fresh-air Duct
      *7 Air Cleaner Case *8 Throttle Body
      *9 Vacuum Hose *10 Evaporative Hose
      *11 PCV Hose *12 Intake Manifold
      *a Vehicle Front - -
      N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf) : Specified torque • Non-reusable part
    2. Install the PCV hose.
    3. Install the evaporative hose.

      See step  1

    4. Install the vacuum hose.

      See step  2

    5. Install the throttle body.

      Torque: 9.5 N*m (97 kgf*cm, 84 in.*lbf) 

    6. Install the air cleaner case.

      See step  3

    7. Install the fresh-air duct.

      Torque: 9.0 N*m (92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf) 

    8. Install the resonator.
    9. Install the air cleaner element.
    10. Install the air cleaner cover.

      See step  4

    11. Install the air hose.

      See step  5

      Torque: 2.95 N*m (30 kgf*cm, 26 in.*lbf) 

    12. Install the ventilation hose.

      See step  6

    13. Connect the negative battery cable.
