Fuel Injector Circuit [05/2013 - 01/2014]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (POWER SOURCE)

    1. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Cylinder Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      No. 1 B10-1 - Ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 2 B11-1 - Ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 3 B12-1 - Ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      No. 4 B13-1 - Ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      (to Fuel Injector Assembly)

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the fuel injector assembly. Refer to INSPECTION [05/2013 - ] .

      HINT: 

      Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel injector assembly. Refer to INITIALIZATION [05/2013 - ] .

    NG → See step   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the fuel injector connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Cylinder Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      No. 1 B10-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B10-2 - B30-85 (#10) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 2 B11-2 - Ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B11-2 - B30-84 (#20) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 3 B12-2 - Ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B12-2 - B30-83 (#30) Always Below 1 Ω
      No. 4 B13-2 - Ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      B13-2 - B30-82 (#40) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   6 

  4. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY (IG2) 
    1. Inspect the integration relay (IG2). Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [05/2013 - ] - Step 1 .

    NG → REPLACE INTEGRATION RELAY 

    OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION RELAY - FUEL INJECTOR) 

  5. REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014] 
  6. REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014]
