DTC P0700: Transmission Control System (MIL Request): Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.
    5. Read DTCs.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    B → See step   5 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. READ OUTPUT DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [07/2013 - ] .
    5. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
    6. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    7. Turn the Techstream on.
    8. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
    9. Read DTCs.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC P0700 is output B

    B → See step   4 

    A → See step   3 

  3. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [07/2013 - ] 
  4. REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [07/2013 - 12/2013] 
  5. GO TO AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [07/2013 - ]
