Starting System (Service Information): Starter: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 
  4. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER 
    1. Disengage the claw by pulling it outward and remove the flywheel housing side cover.

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect terminal 30.
    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts and remove the starter assembly.
